Divine Mystery as Mother (Six consecutive Monday classes)
Time & Location
About the Event
We are living in a transformative time in which many of our traditional ideas are being challenged, and our concepts of the Divine are no exception. This class offers a way to experience the sacred through increasing our understanding of, and intimacy with God as Mother. We will create a safe container in which to explore the wonder of knowing God as feminine, through practice of intentional silence, and listening, music, readings and dialogue.
Whether you are practicing a traditional religion or just exploring your beliefs and searching, this course is relevant to our times, and you are welcome. As spiritual seekers, many of us find ourselves questioning how gender roles fit into our faith.
Together we will seek to deepen our connection to the Divine Feminine as we consider such questions as: What is the Sacred Feminine?
What is your personal God Story? If you created a relationship with God as Mother how would your spiritual life be changed?
We will explore techniques and exercises for opening ourselves to a relationship with the Mystery as Mother. There is no required text. However, The New Divine Feminine by Meghan Don is suggested as a reference.
The Mystery as Mother will meet for six classes on Mondays. September 23, 30, Oct 7,14, 21, 28, from 1-3 PM.
Classes will meet at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. The cost is $90.00
